Jaclyn Beckerman

Jaclyn Beckerman, M.Ed. is just finishing up her fifth year teaching at Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C. Since her first year in 2013, she has had the honor and privilege of working within the Special Education Department. She has worked with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and other health impairments. Jaclyn attended Pennsylvania State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education for English/Communications, and minored in Special Education. In the beginning of her senior year, she was accepted into the prestigious teaching program, Teach for America. She was placed in Washington, D.C., and eventually Anacostia High School, and has never looked back. She received her Master's Degree in ​Non-Categorical Special Education K-12 from George Mason University. She truly believes she has found her niche, and looks forward to continuing to challenge herself and her students to become better versions of themselves.
