Latisha Chisholm

Latisha Chisholm serves as the Special Education Coordinator for Anacostia High School in Southeast Washington, D.C., and Summit Learning School Leader and Instructional Coach, for the school’s academy exclusive to students receiving special education services. She formerly taught special education, English, and science. Before becoming a 2016 CityBridge Education Innovation Fellow, she implemented blended and individualized instruction in her English and science classes. Latisha is a social worker by training, earning her Masters of Social Work at University of California, Berkeley, and her Bachelors in Psychology with Honors in Education from Stanford University. She left full-time social work to become a teacher first, because she knew supporting teachers and creating systems that help them serve students better was her next calling.
