Setting the stage for students’ success in college and beyond has been Pasadena Independent School District’s (PISD) goal in implementing the Summit Learning instructional approach, which they refer to as the Connect Program. In 2017–18, 7th and 8th grade students using the Connect Program made significant gains in math and reading.
The Summit Learning Program Today and Tomorrow, A Message from Summit Public Schools CEO Diane Tavenner
What started off as a small pilot at Summit Public Schools with only 19 schools in 2015, today serves more than 380 schools, nearly 3,800 educators, and more than 72,000 students across the U.S. Our community continues to grow — as does the team working in support of it. We believe the Program is ready to succeed as its own. With our support, a new nonprofit will independently lead and operate the Summit Learning Program beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.
